The question of which surgical mask is the most effective for treating severe infections has become a contentious debate.

But a new study by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, finds that there’s actually no clear winner in terms of comfort and ease of use.

They analyzed data from more than 30 million people who underwent an invasive surgery in the United States between 2010 and 2020.

The researchers found that while some masks were better for people with advanced infections, the masks most commonly used by people with less severe infections were less comfortable and less comfortable to use.

Here are the top 10 surgical masks for infections.
